I've came up with a list of community lots you can build to add more entertainment to your sims communities. My pics show the upstairs and downstairs of my 2 occupied town homes. You do need Sims 3 Night life and University life. You could do this for any apartment building also. I used testingcheatsenabled true cheat code also just in case the multiple families get overwhelming. Then I created the second family and merged them with my first family and so on. You will have to unlock a door if you want your sim neighbor to visit, then lock the door back when the sim leaves. It may get difficult to play different households all in one but you can control each sim in each unit. You'll have to do this for each townhouse. Click on the door and hit LOCK then SPECIFY SIMS FOR THIS DOOR then you'll have the option to select which Sims can use which doors.

Yes it will be just like one big household but the key to having apartment living is that you have to set the front and back door (porch door etc ) to only allow entrance too members of that family. For example: my lot has 3 townhouses, 1 home has a family of 3, the second home has 2 in its family, the third townhouse is empty so it could have up to 3 Sims in its home. Each lot will only allow up to 8 Sims so you would have to divided up the 8 Sims up among each townhouse. It consist of 3 town homes but you could build a lot of town homes with however many you like. This is the first townhouse apartments that I've attempted to build.
